Simply Complex Africa™ began in Sandton in 2025 ,in a place where capital, enterprise and influence visibly converge. It gave us a powerful starting question: what would become possible if talent, knowledge, mentorship, wealth and opportunity moved beyond the rooms in which they are concentrated? That first gathering was not the destination. It was the beginning of a movement designed to travel, across cities, sectors and communities throughout Africa.
There is no shortage of rooms where African diaspora women network. There is a shortage of rooms built to hold what happens after, after the business cards are exchanged, after the panel ends, after everyone goes back to their own city, sector, and struggle. Connection without infrastructure fades. We built Simply Complex Africa™ to be the infrastructure.
"Knowledge must be stored, organized, and accessible. Without structure, it evaporates. With structure, it compounds."
So rather than build another one-day gathering, we built a structure that outlives the room it started in, one that treats education as infrastructure, entrepreneurship as a system that must keep moving, and mentorship as the human current that runs beneath both. That structure is what follows.
